Studio Guidelines
1. Attendance, Scheduling, & Illness
Lessons are scheduled on a weekly/biweekly basis. Please arrive on time to make the most of your session.
If you need to reschedule, provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours will not be refunded or rescheduled, except in cases of emergency. This will be at the discretion of the teacher.
Virtual lessons are the standard offered lesson format. If you are feeling unwell, please notify me as soon as possible. Performers are rarely at 100% all the time, and lessons during mild illness can be valuable learning experiences. Unless you have a condition that prevents phonation, I encourage yo to attend. If we determine during the lesson that you are unable to continue, we will reschedule at no additional charge.
2. Payment & Fees
Lesson fees are due at the time of booking or at the beginning of each month.
Payments can be made securely through the “Book Now” page.
Consistent, late payments (occurring more than one time) may result in a pause in lessons.
3. Practice & Progress
Regular practice is essential for growth—aim for at least 15 minutes per day (this number will change from student to student).
Keep a lesson journal to track your progress and notes.
Bring assigned materials, including sheet music, recordings, and any vocal exercises.
4. Lesson Expectations
Lessons will focus on technique, musicality, and interpretation.
Recording lessons is encouraged for reference but should not be shared publicly.
Please communicate your goals, struggles, and successes so we can tailor lessons to your needs.
5. Studio Etiquette
Respect the learning space—keep phones on silent and minimize distractions.
Be open to constructive feedback and trust the process!
If feeling unwell, notify me as soon as possible. Refer to Section 1: Attendance, Scheduling, & Illness.
6. Performance & Opportunities
Students are encouraged to participate in studio recitals, competitions, and local performance opportunities.
If interested in auditioning for programs or productions, I can assist with repertoire selection and preparation.
7. Health & Vocal Care
Hydration and vocal rest are crucial—bring water to lessons!
If experiencing vocal fatigue or illness, please let me know so we can adjust accordingly.
